Winter Car Care Checklist
Prepare your vehicle for cold weather with these essential maintenance items.
Winter is tough on your car. Here's our recommended cold-weather checklist:
Battery Health
Cold temperatures reduce battery capacity. Have your battery tested before winter arrives — a weak battery in summer will fail in winter.
Tire Condition
Check tire tread depth and consider winter tires if you live in a snowy climate. Proper tire pressure is also critical — it drops 1 psi for every 10-degree temperature decrease.
Antifreeze & Coolant
Make sure your coolant is at the proper concentration for your climate. We can test the freeze protection level during any service.
Wiper Blades & Washer Fluid
Replace worn wiper blades and switch to winter washer fluid that won't freeze. Visibility is safety!
Brake Inspection
Wet, icy conditions demand maximum stopping power. Get your brakes inspected before winter.
