How to care for zardozi at home

Dry clean only, but not every time — and never in plastic forever. Muslin is your friend.

Zardozi likes air. After wearing, air for a day — not in sun — then muslin-wrap. Plastic traps moisture and dulls the gold.

Dry clean?

Only when needed, with a cleaner who knows handwork. Ask us — we’ll refer in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Dubai. Never brush zardozi; dab.

Storage checklist

  • Fold with acid-free tissue at the creases
  • Zari faces inward
  • Hang only if cancan is removed
