JEE Main 2026 Registration Window Opens November 4

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced that the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 registration window will open on November 4, 2025 and close on November 30, 2025. The exam is scheduled for January 24–31, 2026. If you're a JEE aspirant, here's everything you need to know to register without last-minute stress.
Eligibility at a glance
To appear for JEE Main 2026, you must have passed or be appearing in your Class 12 (or equivalent) examination in 2024, 2025, or 2026. There is no age limit, but the year of passing Class 12 determines your eligibility for the exam itself. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory, along with one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or Technical Vocational subjects.

The application fee
The application fee for JEE Main 2026 is ₹1,000 for male candidates in the General/EWS/OBC category (₹500 for female and SC/ST/PwD candidates) for a single paper. If you're attempting both Paper 1 and Paper 2, the fee doubles. Payment can be made via UPI, net banking, or credit/debit card through the NTA portal.

What documents you'll need
Keep these ready before you start: your Class 10 and 12 mark sheets (or a certificate if you're appearing), a recent passport-size photograph in JPEG format, your signature in JPEG format, and a valid photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, or passport). Have a PDF of your category certificate ready if you're claiming reservation benefits.
