How to Build a 6-Month Revision Timetable for NEET

Six months before NEET is the golden window. You've finished the syllabus once — now the challenge is retention, speed, and plugging gaps. After coaching thousands of NEET aspirants, our Biology and Chemistry faculty have distilled the revision process into a framework that actually works.

The 6-month structure

We divide the six months into four phases. Each phase has a single dominant goal, so you never feel like you're juggling everything at once.

Phase 1: Months 1–2 — Deep revision

Revisit every chapter with a focus on conceptual clarity. For each chapter, solve 50 MCQs from your DPPs and previous years. Identify the topics where you consistently lose marks — these become your personal "weak list".

Phase 2: Month 3 — Weak-list surgery

Dedicate this month entirely to your weak list. Re-learn the concept from scratch, not just revise it. Watch a lecture, read NCERT line by line, and solve 100 topic-specific MCQs. The goal is to convert weaknesses into average topics, not necessarily strengths.

Phase 3: Month 4 — Speed and full-lengths

Begin one full-length NEET mock every three days. The focus shifts from accuracy alone to accuracy and speed. Analyse every mock: which questions took too long, which were skipped, which were guessed wrong.

Phase 4: Months 5–6 — Mock marathon + NCERT final pass

In the final two months, take a full-length mock every alternate day and do a final read-through of NCERT Biology (every line, every diagram). Keep one buffer day per week for rest and light review.

The weekly structure

Within each phase, your week should look like this:

  • Monday–Friday: Subject revision + chapter MCQs
  • Saturday: One subject full mock or a mixed DPP set
  • Sunday: Mock analysis + weak-list work + rest
The students who crack NEET aren't the ones who study the most hours — they're the ones who analyse their mocks honestly and fix what the analysis reveals.

Build in buffer days

Life happens. You'll get sick, you'll have a bad day, a chapter will take longer than expected. Build in one buffer day per week and one buffer week per phase. If you don't need them, use them for extra revision — but never let the absence of buffer days create a backlog that spirals.
