The Department of Biotechnology & Life Sciences is DST-recognised and home to a BSL-2 lab, sequencing facility and bioinformatics cluster. Faculty have completed 14 sponsored projects worth ₹6.1 crore in five years.
Students start wet-lab work in semester two, publish from semester four and intern at Biocon, Serum Institute, CCMB and Aryavarta's own rural diagnostics pilot. The new AI-Bio joint grant of ₹4.2 Cr brings data and diagnostics together.
