Why most creative tests fail

Most creative testing is unfocused: throw up a few variants, look at which has the best CTR, scale the winner. This fails because CTR isn't profit, and because without a structure you can't tell why a creative won — so you can't reproduce it.

The three-axis framework

We test along three axes independently: hooks (the opening line or image that earns attention), formats (UGC, static, carousel, demo), and offers (the deal or promise). Three hooks × three formats × three offers gives 27 variants, but the point isn't volume — it's that you can attribute a win to a specific axis and learn what works.

From winners to a system

When a variant wins, we decompose which axis drove the win, then build the next round of tests around that insight. Over a few cycles you develop a creative language that consistently performs — which is what lets you scale without ads fatiguing in two weeks.

You don't need more ad variants. You need to know which dimension of your ads actually moves performance.

That's the system that took Verde Skin from 1.4x to 6.1x ROAS in a quarter — not more creative, but smarter creative.
