Vikram has played violin since he was six and taught it for nearly as long. He studied under a visiting faculty of the KM Music Conservatory and plays in a string quartet that performs across South India. He is the studio's most patient teacher, which is what the violin demands.
Teaching philosophy
Vikram believes tone comes before notes. A student who can draw a beautiful open string is further along than one who can play a fast scale badly. His lessons move slowly on purpose, and he is honest with students about the timeline — the violin is not rushed.
The violin does not reward speed. It rewards attention.
He helps all new students with sizing and rental, and is the faculty contact for the studio's small string ensemble.
