Monsoon on the Islands — Why We Love the Rainy Season

Ask any of our team which season they love most, and most will surprise you by saying the monsoon. From June to September the islands change character entirely: the hills go from dry green to deep emerald, the waterfalls wake up, and the lagoon turns a richer, deeper blue.
What the Rain Brings
Rainy-season guests get the island to themselves. The ferries run lighter, the beaches empty, and the reef — protected from the sun's glare — puts on some of its best visibility. Our monsoon rates start at 20% below high season, and there is a particular magic to a beach bonfire between showers, or a shirodhara session while the rain drums on the thatch above you.
The Practical Side
We are honest about the weather: the sea can be rough for sailing and some beach days are spent at the pool or the spa instead. But we schedule life around the tides, the snorkel safari still runs most mornings, and the resort — with fewer guests and full attention — feels like a private retreat.
