Chai was found tied to a gate in the rain near Model Colony, shivering and underweight. A passerby called our helpline and our volunteer carried him in, wrapped in a car blanket.
The long foster
Chai spent nine weeks in foster with Rohan — the kind of foster that turns into adoption. He was terrified of brooms for the first month and would not eat if anyone watched. Slowly, he learned that food came twice a day, every day, and that leashes meant walks, not the end.
He slept on my feet the first night. By week three he had claimed the sofa. I stopped calling myself a foster on day forty.
Chai now has a sofa of his own and a nightly walk along the Mula-Mutha. Adopted March 2026.
