Sterilisation camp results are in — 184 street dogs treated this quarter
Our Q2 ABC and rabies camps logged 184 sterilisations and 312 vaccinations across four Pune colonies.
This quarter we ran four monthly camps across Baner, Kothrud, Hadapsar, and Aundh. The numbers: 184 dogs sterilised, 312 rabies vaccinations administered (including colony dogs not brought in for surgery), and zero post-operative infections requiring a return visit.
Why the numbers matter
Each sterilised female prevents, on average, 6–8 unwanted puppies a year. Across 184 dogs, roughly half female, that is several hundred puppies who will never be born into a life on the street — and several hundred fewer mouths to feed during the lean months.
