How Nimbus 3.2x'd Organic Signups in 9 Months
Nimbus

The Challenge
Nimbus, a Series B project-management SaaS, had hit a wall. After years of growth, organic traffic had been flat for three quarters. The team was publishing weekly but nothing was ranking, paid spend was rising to compensate, and customer acquisition cost (CAC) had crept up 23% year over year. An in-house audit produced a 60-page PDF but no clear path forward.
Our Solution
We started with a six-week technical crawl and log-file analysis that uncovered 1,400 orphaned pages, a render-blocking script that hid half the content from search engines, and an internal-linking structure that diluted authority across 4,000 thin pages.
Next we consolidated the content around eight topic clusters mapped to the real buying journey — from 'how to run a sprint retrospective' to 'enterprise project management software'. Each cluster had one pillar page and a set of supporting articles with clear internal links.
Finally we launched a digital-PR program targeting developer and operations publications, earning links that moved the high-intent commercial terms — not just top-of-funnel awareness posts.
The Results
Nine months in, organic traffic was up 312% and, more importantly, organic signups had grown 3.2x. Because the new traffic was higher intent, blended CAC dropped 41% — letting the paid team reinvest in channels that had been paused for being 'too expensive'.
The compounding nature of the work means the traffic curve is still climbing with no additional spend, and the topic clusters continue to produce new ranking pages every month.
