Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about working with us.
What does “fee-only” advisory mean?
We are paid only by you, our client — never by fund houses, insurers, or product manufacturers. You pay a transparent, agreed-upon fee, which means our advice is never influenced by commissions or kickbacks. We do not earn a single rupee from any product we recommend.
Are you registered with SEBI?
Yes. Meridian Wealth Advisors is a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser (Reg. No. INA000123456). We are bound by the SEBI Investment Adviser Regulations, which require us to act in a fiduciary capacity and put your interests first.
What is the minimum portfolio size you work with?
We work with families and professionals at many stages of their journey. There is no hard minimum, but our comprehensive wealth management engagement is best suited to investable assets of ₹50 lakh or more. Our financial planning review is open to everyone.
How often will we review my plan?
Comprehensive clients receive a detailed review every quarter, with a deep-dive annual planning session. In between, your advisor is available for life events — a job change, a new home, an inheritance — whenever your circumstances shift.
Do you manage my money directly, or do I?
Both options exist. Many clients prefer we implement and monitor the plan within their own demat accounts under a limited-purpose power of attorney, while others prefer to execute trades themselves against our written recommendations. The plan is always yours; the execution is your choice.
How do you charge, and how much?
Our fees are transparent and disclosed upfront. Financial planning engagements are a fixed fee, while wealth management is a percentage of assets under advisory, capped and declining in bands as assets grow. There are no hidden commissions, ever — that is what being fee-only means.
