Atelier Verde

Atelier Verde is the headquarters of a landscape architecture practice — a fitting brief for an interior built around living planting. The 8,600-square-foot loft is organized around a central green court that brings daylight and air deep into an otherwise deep floor plate.

Workstations are built from raw European oak and separated by linen-wrapped acoustic panels that soften the open plan without enclosing it. A perimeter of birch-trunk planters hosts species chosen for their air-filtering and seasonal change, so the interior shifts character through the year.

Meeting rooms are lined in cork for warmth and acoustics, with lighting tuned for video calls as well as in-person critique. The material restraint is deliberate: a studio for designers should privilege the work on the walls over the architecture around it.
