A new-build family estate pairing French limestone floors with hand-finished oak millwork and patinated brass.

Maison de Travertin is a new-build family estate conceived as a sequence of stone volumes set within a mature oak garden. We worked closely with the architect from competition stage, developing the interior architectural language in parallel with the shell.

French limestone runs throughout the ground floor, laid in a generous format that emphasizes the scale of the principal rooms. The entry hall centers on a sculptural staircase in board-formed concrete and fumed oak — a single continuous gesture that anchors the home's vertical circulation.

Millwork was designed in solid European oak and fabricated by a workshop in Lyon, then shipped and installed by our team. Hardware in patinated brass was cast to our drawings. The result is a home that feels less decorated than composed — material, proportion, and light doing the work of ornament.
