Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about engaging our chambers.

Do you offer a first consultation? Is it charged?

We offer a confidential initial meeting of up to 30 minutes at a fixed consultation fee, adjusted against the engagement fee if you instruct us. The meeting is to understand facts, map options and give you a fee estimate — it does not create an attorney-client relationship until an engagement letter is signed.

Which courts and forums do you appear before?

Our advocates appear before district and civil courts, the High Courts of Delhi and Bombay, the Supreme Court of India, NCLT/NCLAT, RERA Authorities, labour courts and arbitral tribunals. For matters outside Delhi, Mumbai or Bengaluru we work with vetted local counsel and remain the single point of contact.

Can you help with a private, out-of-court settlement?

Yes. Where the commercial goal is continuity rather than precedent, we propose mediation or a without-prejudice negotiation track. We draft settlement terms and ensure they are enforceable as consent terms or settlement agreements under the Mediation Act, 2023.

Do you take up cases on a success-fee basis?

As advocates governed by the Bar Council of India Rules, we do not enter into contingency or success-fee arrangements that are prohibited under Rule 20. Fees are charged on a retainer, stage-wise or time-based model and are communicated in writing before work begins.

How do you handle confidential information?

All information shared — whether or not you engage us — is treated as confidential. We limit internal access on a need-to-know basis, store documents on access-controlled drives, and will not share your information with third parties without your written consent.

What should I bring to the first meeting?

Bring the full set of relevant documents in chronological order, a timeline of key events, and identity/address proof. For company matters, bring the MOA/AOA, board resolutions and the last filed annual return. For property matters, bring the complete chain of title and sanction plans.
