About this plant
The Swiss-cheese plant β fenestrated leaves that turn a dull corner into a conversation. Ships in a 6-inch nursery pot at 40β50 cm tall, already showing its first splits.
Why we stock it
- Fenestrates reliably even in apartment light
- Forgiving: droops to remind you, recovers overnight
Give it a moss pole by year two and watch the leaves double in size.
Care guide
Light
Bright indirect β an east window is ideal. Direct noon sun scorches; deep shade slows splitting.
Water
When the top 5 cm of soil is dry β usually weekly in summer, fortnightly in winter. Yellow lower leaves mean too much love.
Feeding
Balanced liquid feed monthly through the growing season.
Watch for
- Mealy bugs in leaf axils β wipe with neem oil
- No splits? Move it closer to the light
