Rooftop Oasis — Indiranagar
A bare concrete slab became a 900 sq ft edible terrace with a rain-harvested drip system.
The brief: grow enough greens for a family of four without adding load risk to a 1990s building.
What we did
- Load survey, then drainage cell under 10 cm of engineered media
- Drip lines fed from a 500-litre rain tank
- Windbreak trellis with bougainvillea on the west face
Eighteen months on, the family harvests greens thrice weekly and the terrace reads five degrees cooler.
