After a few hundred site surveys, patterns emerge. These five spots come up again and again:
1. The rear service door
Everyone guards the front gate. Intruders prefer the back kitchen door, especially if it hides behind a water tank.
2. Staircase mid-landings
A camera at the bottom misses faces turning the corner. Mid-landing coverage closes the gap.
3. The parking bay at night
Your car is often the most expensive thing on the property. A 40 m IR bullet pays for itself the first time a mirror is clipped.
4. Delivery-handoff points
Packages left at the door are now a daily event. A wide dome above the main door settles every “it never arrived” dispute.
5. The terrace approach
If someone can reach your terrace, they can reach every window above the first floor. Cover the staircase exit.
