A salsa and bachata social night with live percussion, beginner-friendly tasters and a showcase set.
Latin Heat turned the Black Box into a social dance floor for one Saturday night. The first hour was a free beginner taster — twenty first-timers learned the basic step and a cross-body lead. Then the Salsa Nights cohort performed a short showcase set, and the floor opened for a social that ran until midnight with live percussion from Carlos's trio.
Bachata corner
A quieter corner of the room ran bachata for those who wanted something slower. The rotation system from class carried over — no one sat out for want of a partner.
