Children's Library, Nagpur
A municipal library reborn as a light-filled children's haven with reading nooks and a terrace garden.
We retained the 1970s frame, added a light steel canopy and punched a double-height reading hall. Low shelves, floor cushions and a terrace garden give children room to sprawl.
Costs were kept low with Kota, terrazzo and hand-painted signage by the children themselves.
