Courtyard Infill, Jaipur
A dense urban plot opened with a rain garden, pavilion and mango tree preserved at its heart.
The brief was a garden, not a building. We kept the old mango, added a thin pavilion for evening tea and a bioswale that handles monsoon runoff.
Brick-on-edge, gravel and native grasses make the whole plot permeable.
