The Dune Retreat
Six sandstone pavilions around a stepwell courtyard at the edge of the Thar dunes.
Local sandstone, crafted by masons from the village, forms load-bearing walls with deep reveals that frame dune views. Each pavilion opens to a shared stepwell courtyard for night gatherings.
Solar, composting toilets and a strict no-AC brief made passive cooling the primary design driver.
