Rangmanch 2025 โ€” full company on stage

Eight styles, one evening. Over 140 dancers from every batch take the stage in our flagship showcase of the year.

Rangmanch is the night the whole studio shares one stage. This year's edition moved from the opening alarippu of our youngest Bharatanatyam batch to a closing contemporary ensemble piece choreographed by Tara Mendonsa, with stops at Kathak, Hip-Hop, Salsa, Jazz, Odissi and Bollywood along the way.

The programme

The evening opened with the Bharatanatyam Foundations batch performing their first alarippu โ€” twelve weeks of araimandi turned into a confident three minutes on a real stage. From there the programme built: Aakash's intermediate Kathak students presented a thayavadayum tihai; the Fingerprint Crew brought the house down with their battle set; and the Salsa Nights cohort closed the first half with a social-style showcase.

The finale

Tara's contemporary ensemble โ€” eight dancers from the Composition class โ€” closed the night with Spanda, a piece built over the twelve weeks of the term. It was the first time many of them had performed their own choreography in public.

The stage is not the reward. The stage is the mirror. โ€” Tara Mendonsa, in the programme notes
