Frequently Asked Questions

Is my donation eligible for 80G tax deduction?

Yes. Sanjha Seva Trust is registered under 80G (50% deduction, without limit) and 12A. Your 80G receipt is emailed within 48 hours and reflected on the Income Tax portal quarterly. The certificate is downloadable in Filings.

How much of my donation reaches the field?

In 2023-24, 84% went to programmes directly, 9% to administration and 7% to fundraising. Our Annual Report shows cost per beneficiary — for example, ₹1,460 per girl per year for Shiksha Saathi and ₹0.38 per litre of water storage. Social audit reports are also in Filings.

Can I visit your projects?

Yes. Field visits are scheduled on the second Saturday of every month from Jodhpur. We arrange shared jeeps to Barmer, Nagaur or Pali. Write on the Donate/Volunteer form with your interest and we will confirm 7 days in advance.

Do you have FCRA to receive foreign donations?

Yes, FCRA registered since 2007 (renewed 2022). Foreign contributions are received in the designated SBI NDMB account and reported quarterly and annually. The 2023-24 FCRA return is in Filings.

Can I volunteer or intern?

Field volunteering (minimum 4 weeks) and remote research internships (education, water, craft documentation) are open year-round. We provide simple lodging, not stipends. Use the same Donate/Volunteer form and select 'Volunteer' as your interest.

How do I know my project was completed?

Every project page shows location, year, status and a gallery. Water structures have wall-painted accounts, education scholarships have public handovers, and health camps have duplicate books. Check Projects and Gallery after your visit month.
