Dr. Kavita Rathore
Founder & Managing Trustee
Paediatrician from Jodhpur; worked in the Thar for 28 years. Started the trust in 1998 from a single-room clinic with two volunteers. Oversees field strategy and community audits. Author of Seva, Not Service.
Yusuf Khan
Trustee — Finance & Compliance
Chartered Accountant, Jaipur; statutory auditor for over 40 non-profits. Handles FCRA, 80G/12A renewals and ensures every filing is uploaded within 7 days of filing. Insists on rupee-level reconciliation.
Sunita Devi
Trustee — Field Director
From Nagaur, Class 8 educated, leads 19 women's collectives and 32 learning centres. Joined as a volunteer in 2001, now trains barefoot managers across Rajasthan. Recipient of Nari Shakti Puraskar 2019.
Prof. Alok Sharma
Independent Trustee
Retired IAS (Rajasthan cadre), former Principal Secretary — Rural Development. Teaches at IDS Jaipur. Chairs the ethics and grievance redressal committee. Conducts unannounced field visits twice a year.
Governance note
The board meets quarterly, with minutes published in the Annual Report. An ethics and grievance committee chaired by Prof. Alok Sharma meets separately and conducts two unannounced field visits a year. No trustee or family member receives salary or consultancy from the trust. Audited accounts are uploaded to Filings within 7 days of signing.
