Shiksha Saathi began in 2006 after our field team found that 6 out of 10 girls in Barmer dropped out after Class 5. Today it supports 2,100 girls across 48 villages with annual scholarships of ₹6,000, a bicycle for every girl who must travel over 3 km, and 32 evening learning centres run by local women tutors.
Each centre follows the state syllabus, adds spoken English and digital literacy on tablets, and tracks attendance through a simple IVRS call. Mother Samitis audit stipend delivery every quarter — their signatures appear in our annual report, not ours.
