Every rupee is spent on programme delivery — learning materials, meals, medicines, training and field staff. We publish a summarised annual account on our news page, and full audited statements are available at our office and on request by email. In a typical year, 84% of expenses go directly to programmes, 11% to operations, and 5% to fundraising.

Yes. The trust is registered under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, so all donations are eligible for 50% tax exemption. You will receive a receipt with our 80G registration number (DIT(E)/80G/118/TN/2010) within seven working days, which you can use while filing your return.

Absolutely. Books in Tamil and English for our centres, clean school uniforms, blankets and non-perishable food are always welcome. Please call us before dropping anything off so we can confirm what is currently needed and avoid storage issues. We do not accept medicines or expired food for safety reasons.

Write to us through the contact page or call the office, and we will invite you to our monthly onboarding session. There is no minimum commitment — volunteers help with evening centres, health camps, the community kitchen and administrative tasks. We provide training and cover travel costs for field work. Students above 16 are welcome with parental consent.

Yes, our field work is focused on 40 villages in Madurai district, where we can sustain deep, long-term relationships rather than thin coverage. If you would like help setting up similar work elsewhere in Tamil Nadu, we are happy to share our programme manuals and learning freely with other organisations.

Receipts are issued for every donation above ₹500, by email or post, within seven working days. If you donate through the donate page, mention your address in the message box and we will send a physical receipt. For monthly donors, receipts are consolidated and issued once a year in April.
