Healthy Village
Health
For many families in the villages we serve, the nearest government hospital is more than two hours away by bus. Healthy Village brings basic healthcare to their doorstep. Every month we hold health camps in rotation across 40 villages, staffed by volunteer doctors and nurses and supported by trained village health volunteers.
The camps offer blood-pressure and diabetes screening, antenatal check-ups, immunisation referrals and child growth monitoring. Where a condition needs follow-up, we help families navigate government schemes and hospital appointments — the gap between “diagnosed” and “treated” is where too many patients are lost.
Our reach so far
- 480+ health camps conducted since 2016
- 3,200+ families reached with nutrition drives
- 140 village health volunteers trained and active
- 31,000+ patient consultations recorded
Nutrition drives run alongside the camps, distributing iron supplements, fortified grains and fresh vegetables to pregnant women and young children identified as underweight.
