Solar Lights for 100 Homes
In three hamlets of Panthadi and Kalligudi blocks, the grid has never reached. After sunset the villages go dark, children study by kerosene lamps, and the small shops that sustain families close at dusk.
This campaign funds complete solar home-lighting systems — panel, battery, three LED lamps and a mobile-charging port — for 100 homes. We install them with local technicians (trained under our Skill to Succeed programme) and maintain them free for five years. Each system replaces roughly ₹1,800 a year in kerosene spending and keeps children studying an average of two extra hours every evening.
Cost per home
- Solar panel, battery and three lamps — ₹7,200
- Installation and wiring — ₹800
- Five-year maintenance reserve — ₹500
Total: ₹8,500 per home. 40 homes are already done — with your help, the remaining 60 can light up before Deepavali.
Fundraising Goal: ₹8,50,000
Raised so far: ₹3,82,500 (45%)
