Frequently Asked Questions
What first-timers and returning practitioners ask us most.
I've never done yoga. Where do I start?
Hatha Basics and the Sunday Open Practice are designed for absolute beginners. Arrive 10 minutes early, tell the teacher it's your first class, and take everything at your own pace. The first trial class is free β mat, props and all.
What should I wear and bring?
Wear clothes you can move and breathe in β no special gear needed. Mats, blocks, straps and blankets are all provided. Water bottles and hand towels are available at the front desk. Bare feet on the mat, always.
Can I drop in, or do I need to book?
You can drop into any class, but booking is recommended β popular slots like Sunday restorative fill up. The enrolment form takes a minute, and our team confirms by call or WhatsApp within a couple of hours.
I have a knee/shoulder issue. Can I still practice?
Almost certainly β that's what modifications are for. Mention any injuries in the enrolment message and arrive a few minutes early to flag it to the teacher. For specific concerns, book a private session with Meera first.
Is there a free trial?
Yes β your first trial class is on us, at any level. If you'd rather watch first, you're welcome to sit on the side of the shala and observe an entire class.
How do retreats work?
Retreats are multi-day immersions with accommodation, meals and twice-daily practice included. Contributions are per person on a twin-sharing basis; single occupancy costs extra. Dates and inclusions are on each retreat page.
Do you offer online classes?
A few sessions run online every week β see the schedule for the 'Online' tag. You'll receive a link after enrolment, and most online students join from the office at lunchtime.
